About Us
The Nielsen Insurance Group started in the fall of 1997. Patricia Nielsen opened the agency in a small shopping center in Cedar Hill. Paul Nielsen, her husband and partner, ran the agency's finances and provided administrative support. In early 2001, Patricia and Paul started building a new office in Cedar Hill on Highway 67 just south of Pleasant Run Road. They moved all their business holding to the new office building in late August, 2001. Then, in early 2002, Paul joined the agency in a full-time agent capacity. Since then, Patricia and Paul have provided a broad range of insurance solutions for a wide range of customers and locations throughout the State of Texas.
Patricia and Paul have more than 35 years of experience in the insurance business. Their combined experiences cover corporate administration, systems development and implementation, processes and procedures, claims handling, and 15 years of agency management and development. Both Patricia and Paul are licensed agents for Property and Casuality, Life and Health, and have their Series 6 and 63 licenses for variable products.
Both individuals take an active part in their community. Patricia is on the Cedar Hill Board of Adjustments and Paul is on the Neighborhodd Advisor Board. Paul is active with the local Lions Club and is President of the Cedar Hill Lions Club Charities.
